Zusammenfassung

Isar Aerospace SE is seeking a Flight Operations Engineer to join its Flight Operations and Licensing team in Ottobrunn. You will develop and operate real-time tools for COLA services, weather assessments, and antenna pointing, interfacing with existing systems and APIs.

You will contribute to mission and safety critical operations, support pre- and in-flight procedures, and help maintain crisis management and post-flight reporting processes within a high-stress control room environment.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor or Master in aerospace engineering, Systems Engineering or similar.
• Knowledge of orbital mechanics and launch vehicle flight trajectories.
• Proven experience with Python/MATLAB/C++ or similar.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• At least 2 years of experience in launch/flight operations related fields.

As Flight Operations Engineer you will work within the Flight Operations and Licensing team , and you will perform tasks related to flight operations. The team deals with a wide range of topics , from mission and flig ht safety critical assessments, interf aces with ra nge safe ty an d telemetry antennas , up to supporting flight operations from the mission control room .

Your Role in Our Space Mission

• Managethe development of flight operationsreal timetoolset (COLA services,weather assessments, antenna pointingetc)and their interface with existing tools and APIs
• Manage the processes for COLA, antennapointingas wellasflightmonitoring.
• Supportflight operations by managing pre and during flight procedures related to mission and safety critical systems
• Manage mission configuration for mission critical and safety critical systems
• Support the range and licensingrelated operationaldocumentation preparation
• Manage the training plan forFlight Operatorsthat perform the flightmonitoringfor mission and safety critical operators
• Define andmaintainCrisis Managementproceduresfor flightoperations
• Support mission managementinprovisionof post flightreporting
• Support the maintenance and development of ground segment (Telemetry,Data processing)
• Perform test and flight operationsfromthe missioncontrol

The role will involve software development for real-time operations as well as operations preparation and execution. The ratio between the tasks is expected to be 50%-50% at regime .

Qualification Checklist
