Giesecke+Devrient GmbH in Munich seeks an experienced Firewall Administrator to manage and evolve our enterprise firewall landscape across global locations. You will handle planning, rollouts, lifecycle activities, and strict SLA compliance while documenting changes and improving security posture.

Aufgaben

• Administer and operate enterprise firewall environments across global cloud, data center, and branch locations
• Plan, coordinate, and execute firewall rollouts, migrations, and lifecycle activities
• Ensure SLA compliance with defined response and resolution times
• Create, implement, and document changes within firewall service scope
• Develop, maintain, and improve infrastructure and security documentation
• Configure and implement firewall rules, NAT policies, and routing adjustments
• Review firewall rule sets and perform policy clean-ups for security and performance
• Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity and security incidents
• Collaborate with internal teams and international stakeholders for secure network operations
• Demonstrate experience in enterprise firewall administration (Palo Alto preferred)
• Maintain strong networking knowledge (Internet tech, routing, IPv4/IPv6)
• Understand IT security principles and network security architectures
• Familiarity with ITIL service management is advantageous
• Adopt a structured, service-oriented working style with focus on quality
• Communicate effectively with international stakeholders
• Fluent English and good German language skills

Your responsibilities

• Administration and operation of enterprise firewall environments across global cloud, data center, and branch locations
• Planning, coordination, and execution of firewall rollouts, migrations, and lifecycle activities
• Ensuring compliance with defined SLAs, including response and resolution times during ticket handling
• Creation, implementation, and documentation of changes within the scope of the firewall service
• Development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of infrastructure and security documentation
• Configuration and implementation of firewall rules, NAT policies, and routing adjustments
• Regular review of existing firewall rule sets and execution of policy clean-ups to ensure security and performance best practices
• Support in troubleshooting and resolving network connectivity and security-related incidents
• Collaboration with internal teams and international stakeholders to ensure stable and secure network operations
• Proven experience in administering enterprise firewall environments, ideally with Palo Alto Networks firewalls
• Strong networking knowledge, particularly in Internet technologies, routing protocols, IPv4, and IPv6
• Solid understanding of IT security principles, network security architectures, and best practices
• Familiarity with ITIL-based service management processes is an advantage
• Structured, service-oriented working style with a strong focus on quality and reliability
• Ability to communicate effectively with international stakeholders in a professional environment
