Zusammenfassung

IC Resources is seeking a Field Application Engineer in Munich to drive applications for advanced power electronics and semiconductor technologies. You will work hands-on in the lab, design demonstrators and evaluation platforms, and collaborate with customers and partners to deliver practical solutions across multiple projects.

The role requires a degree in Power Electronics or related field, 5–10 years of experience, strong analytical skills, and excellent communication.

A fast-growing deep-tech company working at the forefront of power electronics and semiconductor technology is looking for a Field Application Engineer to join its expanding team.


The business is developing advanced technologies designed to improve the efficiency, protection and resilience of modern electrical power systems, with applications across areas including data infrastructure, electrification, buildings, automotive and aerospace.


This is a hands-on role for an engineer who enjoys combining power electronics, laboratory testing, system design and customer applications.


Responsibilities

You will identify and assess new applications for advanced semiconductor-based power technologies, working closely with customers and external partners to develop practical solutions. You will design, build and validate demonstrators, prototypes and evaluation platforms, as well as develop test setups for characterisation and performance testing.


You will also support testing and contribute to technical documentation including application notes, reports and design guidance, while keeping up to date with developments in power semiconductor technologies. The role will involve working across multiple projects and collaborating with both technical and commercial stakeholders.


You will ideally have:


  • A degree or MSc in Power Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Electronics or a related discipline.

  • 5-10 years' experience in power electronics and/or power semiconductor technologies.

  • Knowledge of power semiconductor device limitations.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills combined with a practical, hands‑on engineering approach.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with customers, partners and multidisciplinary teams.

  • The ability to work autonomously, manage multiple projects and take ownership of technical challenges.
