Qualifikationen

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Executive Director, Global Commercial Lead, HCC based in United States.

This is a highly visible global commercial leadership role focused on preparing and delivering the launch of an innovative hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) asset.

You will shape the global brand strategy, define growth opportunities, and guide lifecycle planning across markets and indications.

Working at the intersection of R&D and commercial strategy, you will serve as a key voice throughout development and commercialization.

The role brings together global, regional, and cross-functional stakeholders to create strong alignment and launch readiness.

You will lead a matrixed Global Brand Team and translate complex clinical and competitive insights into actionable commercial strategies.

This is an opportunity to influence a high-potential oncology portfolio while building capabilities, developing talent, and driving long-term value.

The position is remote within the United States and reports to the VP, Global Commercial Strategy & Operations for Solid Tumors.

Accountabilities
  • Lead the global commercial strategy for a high-priority HCC asset, supporting first-launch preparations, lifecycle management, and long-term portfolio value creation.
  • Mobilize and lead a cross-functional Global Brand Team, fostering alignment, information exchange, best-practice sharing, and progress against strategic objectives.
  • Represent the commercial perspective across Global Product Teams, R&D, Technical Operations, executive leadership, and regional or affiliate organizations.
  • Lead major commercial planning processes, including the annual brand plan, annual operating plan, and long-range planning activities.
  • Develop integrated brand strategies across multiple indications and incorporate regional and market insights into global launch and lifecycle priorities.
  • Translate clinical evidence, patient and market insights, and competitive intelligence into a compelling global narrative and differentiated commercial strategy.
  • Develop cohesive competitive response plans by assessing market performance, competitor strategies, modalities, and emerging opportunities.
  • Drive global launch readiness, coordinating cross-functional preparation and supporting effective implementation of commercial strategies in local markets.
  • Partner with Medical Affairs, Corporate Communications, regional teams, and other functions to develop consistent stakeholder communications and market-facing strategies.
  • Collaborate with Technical Operations to support effective supply and demand planning and ensure commercial readiness.
  • Develop and maintain commercial performance tools, including a Global Brand Dashboard, to monitor insights, opportunities, and business performance.
  • Build, inspire, and develop high-performing global commercial talent while establishing effective ways of working across a growing organization.
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, external customers, healthcare professionals, and thought leaders to identify and address market opportunities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Science, or a related discipline; an MBA, PhD, or other relevant master's degree is preferred.
  • 12 years of pharmaceutical marketing or healthcare commercial experience, including at least 5 years in oncology/hematology.
  • 5 years of global marketing and/or new product planning experience, with demonstrated ownership of brand strategy across different stages of the product lifecycle.
  • Proven experience supporting or leading pharmaceutical product launches through global or major-market roles.
  • Advanced expertise in solid tumors and experience operating in highly competitive oncology markets.
  • Strong understanding of global commercialization, including reimbursement considerations across major markets such as the US, EU5, Japan, and China.
  • Experience in a major international market and/or previous international assignments is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and influence high-performing matrixed teams across functions, geographies, cultures, and organizational levels.
  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical capability, and ability to synthesize complex clinical, commercial, competitive, and market information into clear recommendations.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior executives as well as local and regional marketing teams.
  • Experience driving organizational change and applying change-management principles in complex environments.
  • Collaborative, inclusive, entrepreneurial, and results-oriented mindset, with a strong commitment to continuous learning and adaptability.
  • Willingness and ability to work effectively across global time zones and cultures with a patient-focused approach.
