National Park Service is seeking an Environmental Protection Specialist to manage compliance for National Park Service projects. You will serve as a Environmental Protection Specialist. This position is located within the Department of the Interior, National Park Service, Natl Pk Svc, Pacific We, Resource Mgmt & Visitor Services Div, SAINT GEORGE, UTAH, BOULDER CITY, NEVADA or BAKER, NEVADA
At the full performance level (GS-11) the major duties of this position include, but are not limited to the following: Serve as an Environmental Compliance specialist for the National Park Service (NPS). Enter projects into the NPS Planning, Environment & Public Comment (PEPC) System. Review projects for National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), Endangered Species Act (ESP), National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA), Commercial (or Special) Use Authorization (CUA or SUP), Concessions, and other compliance requirements. Draft compliance documents and reports including Environmental Impact Statements (EIS), Environmental Assessments (EA), Categorical Exclusions, etc.
