The City of Port Colborne invites applications for an Environmental Analyst to conduct technical research, maintain databases, track regulatory changes and prepare reports. Reporting to the Environmental Compliance Supervisor, the Environmental Analyst conducts technical research and analysis, maintains databases and records, prepares reports and correspondence, tracks regulatory changes, supports investigations, develops metrics and dashboards, coordinates administrative requirements, and implements programs and initiatives.
Undergraduate degree or post graduate certificate in environmental science, engineering, geoscience or related discipline.
CET, C. Tech or A. SC.T. designation.
Minimum 2 years related experience, preferably in water and wastewater utility operations or municipal experience.
Valid class "G" driver’s license.
Excellent writing and communication skills.
Well-developed computer skills.
Strong ability to multi-task, with attention to detail.
Strong data management and analytical skills.
Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work.
Ability to communicate effectively.
This is a full-time, unionized position working 35 hours per week. The rate is $40.94 per hour, and comes with a comprehensive compensation package including benefits and OMERS Pension Plan.
