Airbus Operations GmbH in Bremen seeks an Aerodynamics Engineer for High Lift Aerodynamics Design to advance cabin and gas-dynamic analyses. You will work with cross-functional teams on rapid decompression topics from certification to serial versions in a dynamic, international setting.

Qualifikationen

• Background in Aerodynamics, ideally with a focus on internal flows.
• Experience in structural and/or cabin design.
• Proficiency in Data science principles and methodologies, including statistical analysis, machine learning, and data visualization.
• Solid understanding of Mathematics and its application to engineering problems, particularly in numerical analysis.
• Demonstrated experience with Numerical analysis and simulation tools relevant to aerodynamics.
• Expertise in Programming and coding, preferably in languages such as Python, MATLAB, or similar.
• Good understanding of complex 3D geometries, and CAD and engineering drawings
• Proficiency in CATIA for 3D design and modeling.
• Proven ability in Project Management, including planning, execution, and monitoring of technical projects.
• An Agile, open-minded approach to problem-solving and a willingness to embrace new technologies and methodologies.
• A proactive and empowering attitude, with the ability to take initiative and drive results.
• Negotiation level in English and basic language skills in German.

We are looking for an an enthusiastic and creative Aerodynamics Engineer for High Lift Aerodynamics Design (d/f/m).

Youe will work in an empowered team with a variety of interesting internal and external national and international stakeholders on the topic of Rapid Decompression Analysis - from type certification to serial Head of Versions and specific corporate jet arrangements, in compliance with the respective airworthiness regulations.

Job Responsibilities

• Compiling and analyzing a variety of complex input data on the aircraft cabin and cargo configuration for the interpretation and evaluation of the aerodynamic characteristics of the given geometry, based on gas-dynamic simulations
• Applying data science techniques to analyze complex geometric and gas dynamic data and to identify trends.
• Developing and implementing algorithms and scripts for data processing, analysis, and automation tasks (programming and coding).
• Conducting numerical analysis and simulations of complex cabin configurations, interpreting results, and providing actionable insights.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including cabin & cargo design, stress, and systems engineers, throughout the aircraft development life-cycle.
• Managing and contributing to projects related to rapid decompression analysis, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards (Project Management).
• Communicating technical findings and recommendations effectively in both English and German.
• Continuously learning and exploring new methodologies in gas dynamics, data science, and related fields to drive innovation.

This role will involve some travel for business (up to once to twice per month) worldwide and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.
