We are looking for an Electrical Engineer to join our team. You will design, develop, and validate the electrical systems of a humanoid robot platform including power distribution, motor control electronics, sensor interfaces, and communication networks and ensure robust integration with embedded firmware and our ROS2-based software stack.
This role will play a central part in shaping the robot’s electrical architecture, owning design decisions across schematics, PCB design, and system‑level integration as the platform scales to new modules and deployments.
Your Responsibilities
- Design and review electrical schematics for actuator controllers, sensor boards, and power systems
- Support PCB bring‑up, validation, and debugging of custom electronics
- Define and implement power distribution, grounding, and protection strategies
- Integrate sensors (force/torque, encoders, IMUs) at the electrical and interface level
- Debug signal integrity, EMI, and communication issues (UART, SPI, I2C, CAN)
- Support hardware bring‑up of new actuator and gripper modules
Long‑Term (Growth Path)
- Own the electrical architecture for new robot subsystems and modules
- Develop scalable standards for schematics, PCB design, and electrical interfaces
- Lead electrical design reviews and cross‑team technical decision‑making
- Collaborate with embedded, mechatronics, and software teams on hardware‑software co‑design
- Drive improvements in reliability, safety, and manufacturability of electrical systems
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field
- Strong experience with schematic design and PCB development
- Knowledge of motor drivers, power electronics, and sensor interfaces
- Experience with communication protocols: UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, Ethernet/UDP
- Hands‑on debugging skills using oscilloscope, logic analyzer, and multimeter
- Understanding of embedded systems constraints and real‑time hardware behavior
Beneficial Skills
- Experience designing electronics for robotics or motion control systems
- Familiarity with servo and motor control platforms (Dynamixel, ODrive, or similar)
- Experience with safety, protection circuits, and EMC/EMI considerations
- Exposure to ROS2‑based robotic systems
What we offer
- Corporate Benefits Program that covers health, mobility, and learning with 100€ net per month.
- Modern office facilities with a rooftop terrace overlooking Munich, free drinks & fruits, and regular company events contribute to a good working environment.
We are proud of our diversity and welcome your application regardless of gender and sexual identity, nationality, ethnicity, religion, age, or disability.
