Kroll in Germany is seeking an Econometrician to join its Economic Advisory practice. You will work on high-profile domestic and international cases, applying econometric methods and data analysis to competition and regulatory matters.
The role requires PhD training, strong Stata/R skills, time series analysis, and fluency in English and German; some experience with policy or litigation contexts is a plus.
We are looking for an Econometrician to join Kroll's Economic Advisory practice in Germany.
Our Economic Advisory team advises leading corporations, law firms, financial institutions and government bodies on high-profile domestic and international matters, including antitrust investigations, merger reviews, damages quantification, commercial litigation, regulatory proceedings and international arbitration. As part of a collaborative and intellectually stimulating environment, you will work alongside experienced economists and industry experts on some of the most complex and impactful cases in the market.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced economist specializing in econometrics and will enhance our econometrics and programming team.
As Econometrician you will work on high-level domestic and international cases dealing with matters ranging from international arbitrations, mergers and antitrust proceedings in front of competition authorities, to damage quantification. You will be able to contribute to these competition and regulatory cases in a variety of ways from day one, working closely with more experienced colleagues to understand the issues at stake, relate these issues to economic theory, and in particular supporting the analysis with robust empirical evidence based on relevant statistical and econometric analyses.
You should have done quantitative work during your Ph.D. for example in the field of Empirical Industrial Organisation or Labor Economics and be passionate about Econometrics, time series analysis and empirical economic work in competition and regulatory matters.
