Zusammenfassung

smartclip is looking for a Platform Architect to design and automate developer platforms, enabling fast, secure delivery of software across teams. Build an ecosystem where production deployments are frictionless and scalable, treating the platform as a product.

You will own the stack end-to-end on GKE and Google Cloud, drive CI/CD tooling, and enforce security by design. The role blends remote work with Berlin collaboration for major decisions and leadership across engineering teams.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years of DevOps experience.
• Experience with GCP, Kubernetes and Linux.
• Infrastructure as Code and automation mindset.
• Experience with Terraform, Docker/CRI-O and shell scripting.

• Integrate modern CI/CD tooling and ensure functional safety and reliability.

The Challenge

Most companies treat DevOps as a ticket-system: „I need a database“, „My pipeline is broken“. That is not what we do at smartclip.

We don’t want a gatekeeper. We want a Platform Architect. Build an ecosystem where developers can ship code to production without friction, without fear, and without waiting for a ticket. Turn the infrastructure into a product. Make the platform invisible, scalable, and bulletproof.

Your Mission

• Architect the Developer Experience: Design and automate platforms that empower our teams to move fast and ship with absolute confidence. Eliminate bottlenecks. Kill the friction.

• Weaponise CI/CD: Integrate modern tooling into our pipelines. Ensure functional safety and reliability are baked into the process, not added as an afterthought.

• Dominate the Cloud: Take full ownership of our GKE / Kubernetes infrastructure on Google Cloud. Shape it, evolve it, and push it to its limits.

• Harden the Perimeter: Execute proactive security engineering. Hunt for vulnerabilities before the pen-testers do. Build a fortress, not a fence.

• Scale the Future: Continuously evolve the platform. Make development faster, safer, and infinitely more scalable.

Your Skills

• Bring 5+ Years of Combat Experience: Prove your track record in DevOps engineering. Be a builder, not an observer.

• Command the GCP Ecosystem: Master Google Cloud Platform. Work confidently with Kubernetes and Linux. Treat the cloud as your playground.

• Code Your Infrastructure: Use Infrastructure as Code, Docker/CRI-O, and shell scripting as your primary weapons. If you have to do it twice, automate it.

• Own the Stack End-to-End: Kill the ticket ping-pong. Stop the handovers. Take full responsibility from the first line of Terraform to the final production pod. No excuses.

Bonus XP

• Leverage Graylog, Grafana, Prometheus, Python, or Jenkins to gain total observability.

• Deploy with Ansible, Terraform, or AWS.
