Zusammenfassung

Gcore is seeking a talented DevOps Engineer/SRE to join our Edge Cloud IaaS team. You’ll build, operate and scale Linux-based infrastructure across a globally distributed stack, delivering reliable cloud services for AI and edge workloads.

You’ll automate provisioning with Ansible and Terraform, work with OpenStack, and participate in on-call rotations to keep production systems healthy. Collaboration with infra, network and platform teams is essential.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years of production experience as a DevOps/SRE/Infrastructure Engineer.
• Strong Linux administration skills and experience operating production infrastructure at scale.
• Hands-on experience with OpenStack.
• Experience with infrastructure automation using Ansible and Terraform.
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, routing, switching).
• Familiarity with virtualization systems (KVM, Libvirt, QEMU).
• Ability to write Python and Bash scripts to automate operations.

Job Description

Our Edge Cloud platform powers virtual machines, networking and storage services across a globally distributed infrastructure spanning 210+ edge locations and 50+ cloud regions. As part of the team, you’ll help build, operate and evolve the platform that delivers reliable, scalable and high-performance cloud infrastructure to customers around the world.
You’ll work on large-scale Linux infrastructure, automate infrastructure lifecycle management, improve platform reliability and solve complex operational challenges across compute, networking and storage. If you enjoy understanding systems at a deep level, building automation and operating cloud infrastructure at scale, we’d love to hear from you.

What You Will Do

• Deploy and operate Linux-based infrastructure supporting our Edge Cloud platform.
• Build, automate and improve infrastructure provisioning and lifecycle management.
• Plan and execute infrastructure maintenance with minimal customer impact.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across compute, networking, virtualisation and storage layers.
• Improve the reliability, scalability and observability of our cloud platform.
• Design, implement and improve infrastructure automation and deployment workflows using GitLab CI, Ansible and Terraform.
• Collaborate with engineers across infrastructure, networking and platform teams to continuously improve our services.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to support production infrastructure.

Qualifications

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of production experience as a DevOps/SRE/Infrastructure Engineer.
• Strong Linux administration skills and experience operating production infrastructure at scale.
• Hands-onexperience with OpenStack.
• Experience with infrastructure automation using Ansible and Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, routing, switching and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with virtualization systems such as KVM, Libvirt, and QEMU.
• Ability to write Python and Bash scripts to automate operational work.
• Passion for technology and curiosity to understand how systems work at a low level.
• Comfortable working in a production environment and participating in an on-call rotation.
• Genuine curiosity about how systems work, and comfort diagnosing issues down to the hardware layer.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Ceph or other distributed storage systems.
• Experience with Puppet.
• Experience setting up and tuning monitoring/alerting stacks such as Prometheus, Grafana, and Alert manager.
• Experience with baremetal provisioning tools such as Ironic, PXE or MAAS.
• Experience working in a hosting or cloud service provider environment.
