Zusammenfassung

Deutsche Börse Group in Frankfurt am Main is seeking a dedicated DevOps Engineer for the DBAG Commodities IT XBID & Engineering section to contribute development and operations of 24/7 services. You will build cloud-native, scalable environments and automate delivery across GKE/OpenShift, Terraform, Ansible, and CI/CD pipelines.

Ideal candidates have a degree in IT, strong Kubernetes/OpenShift skills, IaC experience, and a proactive, collaborative mindset. English fluency required.

Qualifikationen

• University degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or comparable qualifications.
• Hands-on experience in public cloud environments (preferably GCP) and container platforms.
• Deep knowledge of Kubernetes and OpenShift.
• IaC with Terraform and Ansible; CD pipelines with GitHub/GitHub Actions and Jenkins.
• Good understanding of networking concepts, including cloud networking and SDN.
• In-depth Linux administration (RHEL/CentOS) and shell scripting.
• Fluent in English; strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Nice to have: Java-based services in containers and experience with Agile methods and financial market infra.

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable, highly available cloud-native environments based on Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) and OpenShift (OCP).
• Drive infrastructure automation and application delivery using Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and ArgoCD.
• Build and enhance system observability using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or Datadog to ensure high reliability and performance.
• Troubleshoot incidents across the platform stack and improve reliability and scalability with SRE practices.
• Design and implement secure, automated deployment and release pipelines for OpenShift environments with access controls and config compliance.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to support business-critical systems and services.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and runbooks.

Your responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable, highly available cloud-native environments based on Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) and OpenShift (OCP)


• Drive infrastructure automation and application delivery using Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and ArgoCD


• Build and enhance system observability using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or Datadog to ensure high reliability and operational performance


• Troubleshoot and resolve complex incidents across the entire platform stack, continuously enhancing platform reliability, scalability, and performance through SRE practices and proactive automation


• Design and implement secure, automated deployment and release pipelines for OpenShift environments, embedding platform security standards, access controls, and configuration compliance


• Participate in an on‑call rotation to support business‑critical systems and services


• Create and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and knowledge‑sharing materials

Your profile

• University degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or comparable qualifications


• Solid hands‑on experience in public cloud environments (preferably GCP) and container platforms, with deep knowledge of Kubernetes and OpenShift


• Practical experience in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible), container orchestration using Helm, and continuous delivery pipelines (Git, GitHub/GitHub Actions, Jenkins) across the full software lifecycle


• Good understanding of networking concepts, including cloud networking and Software‑Defined Networking (SDN)


• In‑depth Linux administration and troubleshooting experience (ideally RHEL/CentOS) including shell scripting, paired with a solid grasp of enterprise networking, cloud/software‑defined networks (SDN), and core protocols (DNS, SSH, TLS/HTTPS)


• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills with a proactive, collaborative approach and fluency in English (written and spoken)


• Nice to have: Prior experience with operating Java‑based services in containerized environments, practical exposure to Agile delivery models (Scrum, Kanban) and familiarity with financial market infrastructure, trading platforms, or energy markets
