Zusammenfassung

Equinix is seeking a Data Center Support specialist to assist with shipping, receiving and equipment handling at our Frankfurt data center. You will maintain records, track materials and support delivery and installation activities.

The role focuses on semi-routine tasks within established procedures, requiring accuracy, safety awareness and clear communication with internal teams and security to ensure on-time deliveries.

Qualifikationen

• Typically requires a high school diploma and proven years of equivalent work experience.
• Regional hazardous materials certification preferred.

Aufgaben

• Supports the team with coordinating large customer deliveries and resolving shipping or receiving issues, keeping records/logs of all materials.
• Applies acquired job skills and company policies and procedures to complete assigned tasks.
• Works on assignments that are semi-routine in nature but recognizes the need for occasional deviation from accepted practice.
• Normally follows established procedures on routine work, requires instructions only on new assignments.
• Coordinates speedy and efficient delivery of goods to the required destination and obtains sign-off for receipt.
• Informs recipients that goods ordered have been delivered.
• Maintains records of materials received and shipped, within a semi-routine scope.
• Receives goods delivered to the Data Center either directly or following acceptance by security.
• Enters all relevant details of all inbound/outbound shipments and ensures order requirements are fulfilled.
• Uses shipment spotlight and shipment dashboard for customers inbound/outbound shipments.
• Inspects received goods and rejects unsatisfactory items where necessary.
• Proactively works and communicates with internal/external customers to ensure on-time deliveries.
• May assist with resolving difficult shipping and receiving issues.
• Follows established procedures on hazardous materials, requires supervision on new assignments.
• Follows and complies with hazardous materials within semi-routine protocols, as described by regional regulatory bodies.
• Tracks stored and/or abandoned equipment
• Uses the aging shipment business processes/tools for Shipments over 5 days, 14 days, 30 days and 90 days.
• Assists with delivering and removal of customers equipment from cages through the use of established procedures
• When requested by a Smart Hand (SH) request, assists with packing customers equipment with packing material so that it can be shipped from the Data Center
