Zusammenfassung

Willidrop is seeking a Data & Automation Engineer in Germany, with Frankfurt as a regular collaboration hub. You will build the data layer that turns operational data into trustworthy, actionable insights, combining analytics engineering with pragmatic automation across pricing, operations, commercial, and finance workflows.

You’ll model core entities, design pipelines, and create dashboards, while ensuring data quality and clear ownership.

Qualifikationen

• At least three years in analytics engineering, data engineering, BI engineering, or a strongly technical analytics role.
• Advanced SQL and experience designing maintainable analytical data models.
• Practical experience building pipelines and automations with Python, TypeScript, or similar tools.
• Strong data quality, testing, observability, and clear metric definitions.
• Ability to translate operational questions into durable data products.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.

As Data & Automation Engineer, you’ll build the layer that turns operational datainto shared truth and repeatable action. You’ll combine analytics engineering with pragmaticautomation across pricing, operations, commercial, and finance workflows.

What We’re Looking For

Must-Haves

• At least three years in analytics engineering, data engineering, BI engineering, or a stronglytechnical analytics role
• Advanced SQL and experience designing maintainable analytical data models
• Practical experience building pipelines and automations with Python, TypeScript, or similar tools
• A strong instinct for data quality, testing, observability, and clear metric definitions
• The ability to translate an operational question into a durable data product
• Strong written and verbal communication in English

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with Postgres, dbt, orchestration tools, and modern BI platforms
• Experience with real-time or event-driven operational data
• Experience building AI-assisted workflows, forecasts, or anomaly-detection systems
• Exposure to marketplaces, logistics, routing, pricing, or supply-and-demand problems
