Zusammenfassung

Cognizant in Germany seeks an experienced Data Architect to define architecture and governance for scalable Data Hubs supporting analytics, reporting, and Generative AI use cases.

You will guide engineers, establish standards, and ensure performance, scalability, and security across the data platform while collaborating with AI/ML teams to deliver robust data solutions.

Qualifikationen

• Fluent English (written and spoken)
• Strong expertise in Azure-based data platforms and Databricks
• Deep knowledge of Databricks, Delta Lake, and Apache Spark
• Experience with dimensional, relational, and NoSQL data models
• Understanding of data governance, lineage, and compliance
• Hands-on experience with Data Factory, ADLS, Synapse, Azure SQL and Event Hubs
• Proficiency in CI/CD, Terraform, Docker and Kubernetes/AKS
• Ability to define technical strategy, mentor engineers, and drive best practices

• Design and oversee the implementation of scalable Data Hubs integrating multiple data sources
• Define architecture patterns, templates, and data engineering best practices
• Establish data governance frameworks, access controls, and security policies
• Ensure efficient storage, retrieval, and processing of large-scale datasets
• Prepare and maintain project documentation aligned with internal standards and processes
• Design solutions for batch and streaming data ingestion, transformation, and model updates
• Implement automated data validation, anomaly detection, and proactive issue resolution
• Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and AI/ML teams to align architecture with business needs
• Maintain comprehensive architectural documentation and mentor engineering teams

About the project, As a Data Architect, you will define and drive the architecture, standards, and best practices for scalable Data Hubs supporting analytics, reporting, operational processes, and Generative AI use cases. This role requires a combination of strategic thinking and deep technical expertise, along with the ability to guide engineers, shape data governance, and ensure performance, scalability, and reliability across the platform.

This is an opportunity for an experienced architect to influence the direction of modern data platforms and play a key role in building future-ready solutions.

• Strong skills in creating and maintaining clear architectural documentation
