Required:
- 5 years of software development experience with a Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field or Business Administration; 11 years of relevant experience may substitute for degree
- Must meet TESA Qualifications
- DoD 8140 - Cybersecurity (Cyber Defense Infrastructure Support) - Intermediate
- Certifications — must hold active certifications (one of the following):
- GPYC (GIAC Python Coder); OR
- GWEB (GIAC Certified Web Application Defender); OR
- Red Hat Certified Enterprise Application Developer; OR
- Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Developer Associate; OR
- GitLab Certified CI/CD Associate; OR
- Azure DevOps Engineer Expert
- U.S. citizenship required
- Active DoD TS/SCI clearance or higher
Preferred:
- Strong proficiency in Python for backend development, scripting, and data processing
- Experience with Java or JavaScript frameworks for web application development
- Familiarity with REST API design and integration for connecting security tools and data sources
- Experience with GitLab or GitHub for version control and collaborative development workflows
- Knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate) for low-code solutions
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipeline management and agile project tracking
- Experience with data visualization libraries (e.g., Matplotlib, Plotly, Grafana) for security dashboards
- Understanding of web application security principles (OWASP Top 10) and secure coding practices

Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement software applications that support cyber network defense operations, including tools for alert management, data aggregation, and analyst workflow automation
- Write, test, and debug production-quality code in Python and/or Java, following secure coding standards and DoD software development guidelines
- Build and maintain data analysis tools and dashboards that enable CSSP analysts to visualize security metrics, track KPIs, and identify operational trends
- Evaluate commercial and open-source software solutions for applicability to CSSP mission requirements, producing technical assessments and integration recommendations
- Maintain comprehensive application documentation including design specifications, user guides, API references, and change logs in support of configuration management requirements
- Collaborate with CSSP operations, engineering, and data science teams to gather requirements, iterate on application features, and deliver mission-aligned software solutions
