Peraton is hiring an experienced Computer Applications Developer for its Regional Cyber Center-Europe. Location is on-site in Wiesbaden, Germany, with potential second/third shift.

Responsibilities include building software for cyber network defense, creating dashboards, and evaluating tools for CSSP missions. Required: 5 years of software development (Bachelor's in STEM or Business; 11 years substitute), DoD 8140 intermediate, active DoD TS/SCI clearance, and relevant certifications.

Qualifikationen

  • 5 years of software development experience with a STEM or Business degree; 11 years may substitute for degree.
  • Must meet TESA qualifications.
  • DoD 8140 Cybersecurity - Intermediate.
  • Active certifications: GIAC Python, Web App Defender, Red Hat, Power Platform Dev Associate, GitLab CI/CD, or Azure DevOps Engineer.
  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • Active DoD TS/SCI clearance or higher.

Aufgaben

  • Design, develop, and implement software for cyber network defense operations.
  • Write, test, and debug production code in Python and/or Java per DoD guidelines.
  • Build data analysis tools and dashboards for security metrics and KPIs.
  • Evaluate commercial and open-source software for CSSP missions; provide assessments.
  • Maintain documentation: design specs, guides, API references, and change logs.

Responsibilities

Peraton is hiring an experienced Computer Applications Developer for its' Regional Cyber Center-Europe

Location: On-site, Wiesbaden, Germany

Potential 2nd/3rd Shift work required

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement software applications that support cyber network defense operations, including tools for alert management, data aggregation, and analyst workflow automation
  • Write, test, and debug production-quality code in Python and/or Java, following secure coding standards and DoD software development guidelines
  • Build and maintain data analysis tools and dashboards that enable CSSP analysts to visualize security metrics, track KPIs, and identify operational trends
  • Evaluate commercial and open-source software solutions for applicability to CSSP mission requirements, producing technical assessments and integration recommendations
  • Maintain comprehensive application documentation including design specifications, user guides, API references, and change logs in support of configuration management requirements
  • Collaborate with CSSP operations, engineering, and data science teams to gather requirements, iterate on application features, and deliver mission-aligned software solutions

Qualifications
Required
  • 5 years of software development experience with a Bachelor's degree in a STEM field or Business Administration; 11 years of relevant experience may substitute for degree

  • DoD 8140 - Cybersecurity (Cyber Defense Infrastructure Support) - Intermediate
  • Certifications - must hold active certifications (one of the following):
    • GPYC (GIAC Python Coder); OR
    • GWEB (GIAC Certified Web Application Defender); OR
    • Red Hat Certified Enterprise Application Developer; OR
    • Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Developer Associate; OR
    • GitLab Certified CI/CD Associate; OR
    • Azure DevOps Engineer Expert
  • U.S. citizenship required
  • Active DoD TS/SCI clearance or higher
Preferred
  • Strong proficiency in Python for backend development, scripting, and data processing
  • Experience with Java or JavaScript frameworks for web application development
  • Familiarity with REST API design and integration for connecting security tools and data sources
  • Experience with GitLab or GitHub for version control and collaborative development workflowsKnowledge of Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate) for low-code solutions
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipeline management and agile project tracking
  • Experience with data visualization libraries (e.g., Matplotlib, Plotly, Grafana) for security dashboards
  • Understanding of web application security principles (OWASP Top 10) and secure coding practices

Target Salary Range

$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
