Zusammenfassung

Apple Munich is seeking an enthusiastic Camera Hardware Engineer to join the team that designs and validates camera electronics and sensing systems for next‑generation imaging across devices.

You will work across mechanical, optical, firmware, product/test, and camera systems teams to translate requirements into electrical and IC specifications, delivering cutting-edge camera hardware and validation plans.

Qualifikationen

  • BS degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering and a minimum of 3+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Experience validating electro-optical, electro-mechanical, or mixed signal systems with a focus on hands-on measurements in the lab using electrical instrumentation.
  • Experience with design of experiments or similar process to troubleshoot or debug electrical problems.
  • Experience with scripting in Python, C, and/or MATLAB for validation, automation, and analysis of electrical systems.

The Camera Hardware Engineering group is responsible for the design, development, and innovation of camera hardware for all related Apple products. The Camera Electronics and Sensing Group, develops custom chipsets to enable world-class imaging and sensing features across Apple products, including lens stabilization, depth sensing, flicker detection, and eye tracking.


Description

In this role, you will be working with cross-functional teams including mechanical, optical, firmware, product/test and camera systems engineers to evaluate performance specifications. You will understand how complex system architectures translate to electrical and IC requirements to deliver the best and most innovative Camera technologies into our products.

Minimum Qualifications


  • BS degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering and a minimum of 3+ years of relevant industry experience

  • Experience validating electro-optical, electro-mechanical, or mixed signal systems with a focus on hands-on measurements in the lab using electrical instrumentation.

  • Experience with design of experiments or similar process to troubleshoot or debug electrical problems.

  • Experience with scripting in Python, C, and/or MATLAB for validation, automation, and analysis of electrical systems.


Preferred Qualifications


  • MS/PhD in Electrical or Computer Engineering and/or relevant industry experience.

  • Experience with low-level programming and debug for embedded development (C/C++) on MCU based systems.

  • Experience with PCB design and debug for hardware platforms containing drivers, converters, PMUs or high-speed amplifier ICs.

  • Experience with circuit design, schematic capture, layout and component selection.

  • Experience with electrical design, integration, and validation of camera and/or optical depth systems.
