In this role, you will join the Cloud & DevOps Practice within the Critical Services Center of Excellence (CoE), a team focused on designing innovative cloud solutions, supporting technical pre-sales activities, and delivering high-impact consulting services. You will work with leading cloud platforms, help clients modernize their environments, and contribute to building scalable, secure, and reliable systems while collaborating with top technology partners such as Google Cloud, AWS, and Microsoft Azure.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Drive application, data, and infrastructure delivery design, acting as a key technical decision-maker and architectural lead for engineering teams
- Participate in Discovery, Assessment, and Architectural Project Support engagements
- Define solution architectures and guide engineering teams through implementation
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and communicate architectural decisions and technical constraints
- Facilitate cooperation among stakeholders to define and prioritize architectural drivers
- Translate business, functional, and non-functional requirements into scalable solution designs and operational plans
- Support project estimation, roadmap creation, and architecture governance activities
- Design, build, and maintain complex cloud-based solutions on Google Cloud Platform and other public cloud providers
- Design and optimize CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab and Jenkins
- Develop highly available, fault-tolerant, secure, and cost-efficient cloud architectures
- Implement hybrid cloud solutions spanning public cloud and on-premises environments
- Design monitoring, logging, and observability platforms
- Create architecture documentation, technical specifications, diagrams, and risk assessments
- Participate in technical pre-sales activities, workshops, and presentations for business and executive stakeholders
REQUIREMENTS
- Proven experience as a Cloud Architect, Solutions Architect, or a similar senior technical role
- Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform and major GCP PaaS/IaaS services
- Experience with AWS and/or Microsoft Azure
- Solid expertise in Kubernetes and containerized environments
- Practical experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, Jenkins, or similar)
- Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code principles, tools, and best practices
- Experience with Python and/or Shell scripting
- Experience deploying, monitoring, and managing SQL and NoSQL databases
- Knowledge of configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef
- Experience designing highly available, fault-tolerant, secure, and scalable distributed systems
- Ability to create architecture visions, technical specifications, and solution design documentation
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including presenting to executive and C-level audiences
- Experience with architecture frameworks and methodologies, including translating business requirements into technical solutions
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken, in a multicultural and distributed environment
- Excellent German communication skills, both written and spoken, in a multicultural and distributed environment
