deeploi is seeking an experienced Chief of Staff to join the leadership team in Berlin. You will partner with the CEO, steer cross-functional initiatives and drive strategic projects end to end.

The role combines financial planning, governance and operational excellence to enable sustainable growth. You will own budgeting, forecasting, reporting and collaboration with external finance partners, shaping our commercial model and ensuring high-impact decision-making in a fast-paced SaaS

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years of experience in consulting, investment or strategic/finance roles in a startup or scale-up.
• Strong background in financial analysis, reporting and planning, with Excel modelling.
• Appetite to take topics end to end and own unclear or unowned work.
• Hands-on and entrepreneurial, with high standards and execution focus.
• Excellent strategic thinking and communication, translating between strategy, finance and ops.
• Fluent German (ideally C2) and business fluent English (C1).
• Berlin office presence 3–4 days a week.

Your mission

We are looking for an experienced and entrepreneurial Chief of Staff (f/m/d) to join the leadership team at deeploi.

In this role, you act as a strategic and operational partner to the CEO, driving cross-functional alignment, owning our financial steering, and making sure decisions are taken and executed across the company.

You combine sharp financial judgment with organisational excellence, acting as a bridge between strategy, finance and execution, as we build deeploi into a company with sustainable, profitable growth.

This is a highly visible role with a wide scope. Wherever a topic matters and has no clear home, you take it, own it end to end, and drive it to a result. You set a high bar for yourself and the people around you.

Your Responsibilities

• Own strategic projects:Lead high-impact, cross-functional initiatives from first structure to final delivery.
• Shape our commercial model:Drive how we position, package and price our product as we expand our SaaS offering and open up new go-to-market tiers.
• Lead financial steering & reporting:Own business planning, forecasts, investor reporting and performance tracking, as well as accounting, billing and our external finance partners.
• Structure how we run:Drive OKRs, decision-making and cross-functional collaboration for clarity and accountability, shape the formats that hold the team together and, together with People, connect company OKRs to performance management and feedback.
• Partner with leadership:Act as a trusted thought partner to the Founders and the leadership team, including sparring on People initiatives.
• Own legal & contracts:Take responsibility for customer contracts and contractual updates, coordinate external legal support, manage our public funding topics and drive our ISO topics.

Your profile

• 5+ years of experience in consulting, investment or strategic and finance roles in a startup or scale-up, for example as a Chief of Staff, in a founder’s office, or in a senior finance role.
• Strong background in financial analysis, reporting and planning, and confident in Excel modelling. Specialist accounting expertise is not required.
• A real appetite to grab topics, take full accountability and drive them end to end, without waiting for someone to hand you a plan. You own what is unclear, unowned, and what everyone avoids.
• Hands-on and entrepreneurial, with the detail orientation to push until something is excellent and the standards to raise the bar around you.
• Excellent strategic thinking and communication: you translate between strategy, finance and operations, and challenge constructively at senior level.
• Comfortable in a high performance culture with fast pace, changing priorities and broad responsibility.
• High integrity, trustworthiness and discretion in handling sensitive information.
• Fluent German (ideally C2) and business fluent English (C1).
• You are in our Berlin office 3 to 4 days a week, and you make in-person culture something people want, not something they comply with.
