Micron Technology, a world leader in memory and storage solutions, is seeking a CAD Engineer to develop and support CAD flows for design, layout and verification of CMOS ICs. You will lead projects, train end-users, and collaborate with design and process teams in a fast-paced environment.

Required: strong VLSI design background, IC CAD tools expertise, and programming skills in Python/C/C++. Relocation to Munich and a competitive base salary with a variable plan are offered.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelors or Masters/PhD in CE, CS or EE.
• Expertise with IC design CAD tools (schematics, layouts, simulation, verification).
• CMOS design experience with area, speed and power tradeoffs.
• Strong programming fundamentals.
• Experience with Python/C/C++ and Unix scripting; AI in CAD flows a plus.

A CAD Engineer is a development/support role focusing on semi-conductor / EDA design flows/tools. At Micron Technology, Inc., you will be working in a fast-paced, collaborative, production support role evaluating, developing, improving, and debugging both in-house and commercial EDA tools and flows for the design, physical layout, and verification of CMOS integrated circuits.

Responsibilities And Tasks Include, But Not Limited To

• Serves as a subject matter of expert within a technical discipline
• Defines and leads large projects
• Provide input to team members and managers on technical or innovation
• Guide the ML/AI implementation on CAD flows
• Providing training, documentation, and support to end-users on new tools and methods
• Collaborating closely with design and process teams
• Develop and apply CAD software engineering methods, theories, and research techniques in support of the organization's product development.
• Assignments include crafting and developing CAD software, assessing architecture and hardware limitations, and defining and implementing CAD software engineering applications.

Successful Candidates Will Have The Following

• Coursework or experience in EE, CE or CS including VLSI circuit design and software
• Expertise in IC design CAD tools (schematics, layouts, simulation, and verification tools) is required
• Exposure to CMOS circuit design and implementation including area, speed, and power tradeoffs
• Excellent programming fundamentals are required
• In-depth experience in the SKILL and Python programming languages are preferred, but recent and proven experience in C, C++, Visual Basic, Perl, or Lisp will be considered
• Using AI to increase your analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience with Unix and shell scripting is helpful
• Experience with RTL2GDS workflow is a plus (Fusion Compiler, Innovus, PrimeTime, Formality, RedHawk-SC, SpyGlass, etc)
• Experience with EDA software in analog/digital verification flows, Parasitic extraction flows, Design DB versioning System

Education

Bachelors or preferably Masters/PhD in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering

The base salary range that Micron estimates it could pay in for this position full-time is: €79,000.00 - €156,000.00 per year.

In addition to base pay, the remuneration package also includes a variable plan subject to the personal achievement of objectives and the company's performance.
