Apaleo is hiring a Mid-Level Backend Engineer to join its hospitality tech platform. You will implement and extend backend services using .NET 10 in Docker, develop features end-to-end, and ensure scalable, reliable systems. You will work with product managers and engineers in an agile team, delivering quality software with unit and e2e tests.

Remote/Hybrid options available. You should have a degree in CS or related field, and hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, Docker, AWS, and microservices.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's or higher in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience delivering backend features end-to-end in a cloud environment.
• Solid experience with .NET / C# backend development.
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, Docker, and cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with microservices and API-driven architectures.

What You’ll Be Up To

• Implement and extend backend services for the platform using .NET 10 running in Docker containers.
• Develop features end-to-end, from database design through business logic to RESTful APIs.
• Contribute to keeping the platform scalable, reliable, and maintainable.
• Monitor services in production and helpidentifyand resolve issues early.
• Write clean, well-tested code, including unit and e2e tests.
• Take ownership of technical projects, driving end-to-end delivery while collaborating closely with product managers, frontend engineers, and other backend engineers
• Be part of an agile team where your ideas and feedback areencouraged andvalued

What You’ll Bring to the Team

• A degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience independently delivering backend features end-to-end in a cloud environment.
• Solid experience with .NET / C# backend development.
• Hands-on experience with at least some of the following:
• Relational databases such as PostgreSQL
• Docker and basic containerized workflows
• Cloud platforms such as AWS
• Message-based or asynchronous systems (e.g., Kafka or equivalents)
• Familiarity with microservices concepts and API-driven architectures.
• Comfortable breaking down tasks, estimating work, and delivering features incrementally.
• Experience or interest in using AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot ) to improveproductivityand code quality.

Nice to have

• First experience with Kafka or other streaming / messaging systems.
• Basic experience with performance tuning or database optimizations.
• Experience working in SaaS or API-first products.
