Automotive Mechatronics Technician

The job of a vehicle mechatronics technician combines the tasks of a mechanic and an electronics technician. At the City of Erlangen's municipal greenery, waste management and street cleaning company (EB77), you will perform important public tasks and work actively for the citizens.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair trucks, construction vehicles and city cleaning vehicles.
• Carry out root cause analysis for faults or error messages, perform necessary repair measures and functional checks.
• Perform conversions and retrofits on vehicles.

Training & Qualifications

During your training you will be gradually introduced to complex systems from simple assemblies to more advanced systems—electrics, brake mechanics, engine and transmission. You will gain a comprehensive insight into all areas of the profession. In addition to standard training, you can expect in‑depth courses such as chassis and high‑voltage training, and manufacturer‑specific training for sweepers and trucks.
