Jobbeschreibung

We see the semiconductor industry as a realm of possibility. We see opportunity. We see the profound impact that our graphene solutions will have in transforming the industry. We invite you to join us in driving change with our fundamentally human-centered approach, uniting bright minds around a shared vision. The vision is: Prove to everybody that you can make a fundamental change. Prove with your knowledge and skills how things can be done differently. Together, we can change the paradigm of how the world connects

About our technology

The semiconductor industry’s growing demand for more powerful chips with higher bandwidth and lower power finds its solution in our technology. We connect chips to high-throughput, low-delay computing networks. The key lies in harnessing the physical properties of graphene to combine electronic computing with photonic communication, allowing countless chips to interact almost as if they were one. Our graphene photonic innovation increases computing power and efficiency to a new order of magnitude

In short, we connect chips to create powerful and energy-efficient networks, overcoming connectivity limitations in the semiconductor industry. We deliver the graphene solution

The role

We are seeking a skilled Analog/Mixed-Signal Design Engineer at Black Semiconductor to design, simulate, and validate analog and mixed-signal building blocks that support our next-generation Optical Compute Interconnect (OCI) products. You will develop power management, biasing, monitoring, and auxiliary analog circuits that enable the reliable operation of high-speed optical transceivers and integrated photonic systems.

Working closely with analog, digital, photonics, packaging, and systems teams, you will contribute from concept through silicon validation, helping deliver robust analog IP for future OCI platforms.

To join our team, you should be excited to
  • Design analog and mixed-signal IP including LDOs, bandgap references, bias generators, voltage/current references, temperature sensors, POR circuits, oscillators, and monitoring circuits.

  • Develop mixed-signal control blocks such as DACs, ADCs, calibration circuits, state machines, and digital control interfaces where required.

  • Perform transistor-level simulations including DC, AC, transient, noise, stability, PVT, Monte Carlo, and post-layout verification.

  • Optimize circuits for power, area, accuracy, noise, PSRR, transient response, and robustness across process and temperature variations.

  • Support silicon bring-up, characterization, debugging, and correlation of measured results with simulation.

  • Work closely with analog, digital, photonics, packaging, layout, and test teams to deliver robust analog IP from concept through silicon validation.

    Your Qualifications
    • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline with 4–5 years of industry experience in analog or mixed-signal IC design (or equivalent demonstrated impact).

    • Strong understanding of CMOS analog design fundamentals, including feedback, stability, noise, matching, power management, device characteristics, layout effects, parasitics, and post-layout verification.

    • Proven experience designing analog and mixed-signal blocks such as LDOs, bandgap references, bias circuits, calibration and monitoring circuits, temperature sensors, DACs, or ADCs.

    • Experience with transistor-level simulation and verification flows, including DC/AC, transient, noise, stability, PVT, Monte Carlo analysis, and pre-/post-layout verification.

    • Proficiency with analog and mixed-signal design tools, including Cadence Virtuoso/ADE/Spectre or equivalent SPICE simulators, Verilog-A/Verilog-AMS, Calibre DRC/LVS and parasitic extraction flows, and MATLAB and/or Python for analysis and automation.

    • Experience with silicon bring-up, characterization, debugging, and correlation of measured results with simulation data.

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across analog, digital, photonics, packaging, layout, and test teams.

    • Experience with high-speed optical transceivers, integrated photonic systems, mixed-signal SoCs, or developing calibration, monitoring, and power management circuits for complex SoCs will be considered a plus.

    • Experience taking analog IP through tapeout, silicon validation, and production readiness will be considered a plus.
