Zusammenfassung

TRUMPF is seeking a forward-thinking AI Architect to design scalable AI solutions and securely integrate them into existing IT landscapes. You will own AI projects from concept to production, selecting technologies and patterns in collaboration with the AI architecture function.

You will build robust MLOps pipelines, drive live operation performance, and lead a team of AI professionals and data scientists, fostering growth and knowledge sharing across the organization.

Qualifikationen

• A degree in computer science, data science or a comparable field provides your technical foundation.
• You bring professional experience in developing and operating production-grade AI or software solutions with leadership skills.
• Hands-on experience in Python, Azure cloud, MLOps tooling, and API development is expected.
• Strong ability to communicate complex technical matters to diverse audiences.

Your new role

• As a key technical driver, you design scalable solution architectures for complex AI applications and take ownership of their secure integration into existing IT landscapes
• From initial concept to stable production deployment, you hold end-to-end responsibility for AI projects and select suitable technologies, frameworks and architectural patterns in close collaboration with the AI architecture function
• Monitoring, performance optimization and the development of robust MLOps and CI/CD pipelines fall within your remit, ensuring AI solutions remain stable and performant in live operation
• In your role as a people leader, you manage a team of AI professionals and data scientists, conduct regular development conversations and foster an environment where individual growth and constructive feedback are a natural part of everyday work
• Through technical mentoring and active knowledge sharing, you strengthen capabilities across the team while partnering closely with AI leadership and the business units to drive AI initiatives forward

What You Bring To The Table

• A degree in computer science, data science or a comparable field provides your technical foundation
• You bring solid professional experience in developing and operating production-grade AI or software solutions, complemented by proven leadership skills in growing team members and building high-performing teams
• Your technical expertise spans Python, cloud environments (Azure in particular), MLOps tooling and API development. Ideally, you complement this profile with hands‑on experience in generative AI, agentic technologies and a sound understanding of solution architecture and system design
• You communicate complex technical matters clearly and accessibly to diverse audiences, from engineering teams to business stakeholders. Your pragmatic, hands‑on mentality goes hand in hand with a commitment to building sustainable, high‑quality solutions
• You are fluent in English; basic German skills are a plus
