Tieto Tech Consulting is seeking an AI & Data Architect to design architectures for AI-enabled workflows, from the data foundation to agentic systems, and to work hands-on with our teams across cloud data platforms.

You will translate between engineering, business and operations, guide governance, and ensure ADRs and trade-offs are well documented. Role involves working with Microsoft Fabric, Foundry and Databricks in a hybrid German/English client environment.

Qualifikationen

• Extensive experience designing modern Data & AI architectures across data foundations and AI services.
• Strong ability to communicate with customers and stakeholders in technical and non-technical terms.
• Hands-on experience building architectures with engineering and operations teams.
• Proven track record taking Data & AI solutions into production with governance and security.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, Foundry or Databricks.

As an AI & Data Architect, you will design the architectures that AI-enabled workflows run on - from the data foundation to the agentic systems built on top of it. Architecture is where successful implementation is decided long before the first line of code: target architecture, technology choices, and decisions that outlive the current project. You make those decisions hands-on and close to the teams that implement them.

Depending on the customer use case, you will work across cloud data platforms, integration architectures, agentic AI systems, governance and operating models. You help bring today's trends down to earth and turn them into real, lasting business value. As part of a dynamic and fast-growing practice, you will develop with the field itself - at our customers and inside our own organisation.

When joining Tieto Tech Consulting as an AI & Data Architect, you

• Define target architectures and roadmaps across AI & Data platforms that are aligned with our customers' business, IT and security requirements
• Translate between the worlds of engineering, business, IT and operations, making sure everyone ends up with the same picture
• Guide customers in building AI-ready data foundations and governance, from data quality and access control to lineage
• Own architecture decisions and make them traceable through ADRs, documented trade-offs, and the reasoning behind them
• Put our partnerships with Microsoft and Databricks to work, weighing up for each customer which technology decision fits their case
• Support pre-sales through technical discovery, solution design and effort estimation, and stay with the project from concept to implementation

Who We Are Looking For

• Strong experience designing and implementing modern Data & AI architectures, from the data foundation to the AI services and workflows built on it
• Confidence in customer-facing situations - from technical discovery to explaining a difficult architecture decision to technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Proven ability to build architectures that evolve, working hands-on and in close collaboration with engineering & operations teams
• You have taken Data & AI solutions into production, not just into pilots - including governance, security, scalability, observability and lifecycle management
• Up-to-date knowledge of platforms such as Microsoft Fabric, Microsoft Foundry or Databricks, gained through hands-on experience
• Professional working proficiency in German and English, enabling you to confidently communicate with customers and project teams
