Zusammenfassung

Rolls-Royce is seeking an engineer for Mechanical Systems in Germany to advance aerothermal engineering, analyze engine interactions, and support robust test vehicles including flight testing. The role emphasizes analytical thinking and cross-disciplinary collaboration in a high‑tech, regulated industry.

You will apply in-house tools to understand engine behavior, define rig requirements, and contribute to validation activities, while communicating effectively across the organization.

Qualifikationen

  • Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
  • Strong technical knowledge in Aerothermal methodologies.
  • Ability to apply logical, analytical thinking on technical problems.
  • Good communication and presentation skills at all levels.
  • Good English written and spoken; German is an asset.

Aufgaben

  • Using in-house computational tools and methods to derive understanding of component and system level interactions to develop and maintain a functional understanding of the engine and understand interactions in combustion and high temperature environments.
  • Requirement setting for rig activities, and subsequent monitoring and analysis of rig test measurements and results.
  • Occasional running and supporting of low and high technology level tests.
  • Developing methods with a view to facilitating robust test vehicle design, including flight test.
  • Defining creative, robust, optimised, solutions managing risk and applying new technology as appropriate to deliver quality within highly regulated industries.
  • Supporting validation and verification activities.

What You Will Be Doing

Who We Are Looking For
  • Degree in Engineering or equivalent.

  • An ability to apply logical, analytical and innovative thinking on a range of technical problems and make balanced decisions across technical and business parameters.
  • Good communication and presentation skills at all levels of the organisation.
  • Good English written and spoken. Knowledge of German is an asset.
