ClimateWorks Foundation is hiring a Program Manager to support the Adaptation and Resilience team focused on global adaptation initiatives. This role includes overseeing grant management, ensuring smooth operations, and collaborating with various teams to deliver successful projects.

The role will support the Adaptation and Resilience team in building out global adaptation as a new focus area for the foundation and philanthropy writ large. It focuses on providing programmatic coherence and oversight of ClimateWorks Foundation’s Adaptation & Resilience Fund, a multi‑donor pooled philanthropic fund that provides grantmaking to low‑ and middle‑income countries. The Fund’s current focus is extreme heat in urban areas in South Asia, Southeast Asia, and Sub‑Saharan Africa.
The Program Manager will be responsible for ensuring delivery of all aspects of the Fund, including grant management and processing, oversight and management of the grants budget, and internal processes that support smooth grantmaking operations. Duties also include providing management support to the Fund’s Advisory Council (agenda setting, planning convenings, reporting to funders), developing new thematic focal areas, and involvement in the Adaptation & Resilience Collaborative for Funders.

Salary Range (Bay Area / NYC): $105,000 - $110,000 annually
Salary Range (Other US): $95,000 - $105,000 annually
ClimateWorks Foundation is based in the San Francisco Financial District. The position is US Flexible; candidates may work from the SF office or other locations. Geographic differential applied to compensation based on local cost of labor.
