What’s The Opportunity
We are seeking a high‑caliber Accounting Manager to join our growing finance team, reporting to the Director of Accounting. The role will manage the company’s accounting operations, ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, and build scalable processes to support rapid growth. This hands‑on manager will oversee the close process, financial reporting, internal controls, system implementations, accounts payable, expense reports and payroll.
What you’ll do
- Manage all aspects of accounting operations, including general ledger, monthly/quarterly/annual close processes.
- Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, internal controls, and company accounting policies.
- Oversee accounts payable, fixed assets, inventory and other core operational accounting processes.
- Prepare, review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and monthly financial statements.
- Manage intercompany revenue, billing and statutory audits of foreign subsidiaries.
- Manage and optimize the close calendar to ensure timely, accurate and consistent reporting.
- Handle bank transactions and serve as a backup for payroll processing.
- Ensure a structured, efficient close process with a goal of completing month‑end within 5–7 business days.
- Manage multiple workstreams and competing priorities while meeting internal and external deadlines.
Systems & Process Improvement
- Assist in the implementation of chosen accounting tools and initiate process improvements using AI tools.
- Enhance documentation, SOPs, automation and internal workflows to reduce manual errors, increase transparency and support scalability.
- Support integrations of key systems such as expense reimbursement, credit cards, banking and HRIS.
Compliance & Special Projects
- Provide timely support for annual and interim financial audits.
- Monitor evolving compliance requirements.
- Support special projects tied to business expansion, cost accounting or new policy implementation.
- Coordinate effectively with offshore team members and contribute to global process alignment.
This role is located in the United States.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required, degree in accounting preferred.
- CPA preferred; candidates with sufficient accounting coursework to meet CPA eligibility will also be considered.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including related experience in a complex or high‑growth environment.
- Deep knowledge of US GAAP, internal controls and financial reporting; experience with IFRS preferred.
- Working knowledge of NetSuite preferred.
- Exceptional Excel and analytical skills; experience with reporting tools and dashboards a plus.
- Proven ability to be part of high‑performing teams.
- Effective communicator with strong project management skills.
- Experience in SaaS, equipment leasing or manufacturing environments is a plus.
- Proven ability to multitask, prioritize and deliver under tight deadlines.
- Experience working with offshore teams and/or in international or multi‑entity environments.
- Direct experience contributing to a 5‑day close process.
