Airbus Defence and Space GmbH in Manching near Munich is seeking a Certifying Staff/Support Staff CAT B1/B2 to accompany the maintenance of the A400M and support customers during planned and unplanned activities worldwide.

You will work in Line and Base Maintenance, perform conformity assessments, issue releases, and provide technical direction to MAML staff. Willingness to travel and strong quality focus are essential.

Job Description: In order to support the A400M Team in Manching, Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a A400M Certifying Staff/Support Staff CAT B1 / B2 (d/m/f) As Certifying Staff/Support Staff CAT B1 / B2 (d/m/f) in Line and Base Maintenance you will accompany the maintenance of the world's most modern military transporter A400M at the Airbus Defence and Space site in Manching together with your colleagues. In addition, you will support A400M customers on a case-by-case basis during planned and unplanned maintenance activities worldwide.

Your tasks and responsibilities

• Determination and evaluation of conformity of work performed independently or by qualified personnel.
• Release of work within the scope of maintenance activities.
• Provide technical direction, support and supervision to non Part 66 MAML personnel.
• Perform troubleshooting of mechanical systems and their correction.
• Performing scheduled and non-scheduled maintenance activities.
• Set-up of mechanical modifications, retrofits, and engineering changes
• Carrying out repairs according to technical specifications
• Functional tests and adjustments of mechanical components
• Carrying out findings, evaluations and assessment of deviations
• Dismantling and upgrading work
• Assembly and disassembly activities
• Carrying out complex system tests
• Independent management of the work-related documentation

Desired skills and qualifications

• Completed vocational training as an aircraft mechanic or comparable training
• Extensive experience in civil/military aircraft maintenance as a prerequisite
• Valid EASA/DEMAR Part 66 AML CAT B1 / B2 with type ratings
• Experience in an EASA/DEMAR 145 maintenance organization is an advantage
• You are willing to travel and flexible (the job includes assignments at our customers in Germany and abroad)
• You show a high degree of team spirit, resilience and service orientation
• You have the ability to solve problems and show a very high degree of independence
• You have a very high sense of responsibility and quality awareness
• Characteristic ability to meet quality requirements even under difficult conditions
• Willingness and experience to work in confined spaces and at great heights
• You are familiar with applications of the MS Office package
• You have good German and fluent / business English skills
