Job Description

Nevada State University invites applications for the position of 1000 Hour Appointment - Psychometrist I for the School of Education, Psychoeducational Mental Health Clinic. This position will allow for a psychometrist to conduct assessments and assist with report writing to support the Lead Supervising Psychologist.

The Psychoeducational Mental Health Clinic at Nevada State University offers comprehensive evaluations for community members who are in Pre-K through 12th grade and students in the Nevada System of Higher Education. Our psychometrists assist school psychologists and licensed psychologists with these evaluations.

Core Psychometrist Responsibilities:

• Conduct and report on psychoeducational evaluations.
• Create score tables for reports.
• Observe and document client behavior during testing.
• Collaborating with other clinic staff on evaluation procedures.
• Assist with scheduling evaluations as needed.
• Support Clinic operations and management.
• Support relevant policies and procedures.
• Support training of school psychology graduate students.
• Maintain confidential client records and ensure compliance with human subjects guidelines, HIPPA, and FERPA.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in related field.
• Training in psychometrics.
• Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship (Nevada State does not sponsor employment-related visas).

Work Hours:

This position will be asked to work approximately 19.5 hours per week, not to exceed 79 hours per month.

Hourly Rate:

$22.00 per hour.
