We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Coordinator to join our team at YMCA Grovely Outside School Hours Care (OSHC). This is a permanent, part-time position.

Your working hours per week will be 34.5 hours during the school term and up to 38 hours during vacation care time.

About The Role

In this position, you will assist the Service Coordinator with the day-to-day running of the service and management of a team of Educators. You will receive support from a dedicated management team, including the Coordinator, Senior Coordinator, Area Coordinator, Regional Manager, and the OSHC Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing quality programs
  • Managing the daily operations of the programs
  • Supporting staff management
  • Ensuring policy compliance
  • Undertaking administrative tasks
  • Collaborating with families and the school community

Qualifications and Experience

  • Completed (or actively studying) relevant qualifications in Childcare or Teaching (Minimum of Diploma in Children Services)
  • Experience in programming and a passion for quality childcare
  • Experience in administration and documentation in an OSHC setting
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain
  • Blue Card or willingness to obtain
  • NQF knowledge is advantageous

Work Environment

YMCA Grovely OSHC is located at Grovely State Primary School, licensed for 70 children, offering Before School Care, After School Care, and Vacation Care from 6:30 am to 6:00 pm.

Our programs support children's well-being, development, and learning, with activities like Imagination Station, Arts & Crafts, Cooking, Music & Movement, and more.
