IT Systems Engineer for Infrastructure (f/m/d)

As an IT Systems Engineer, you will develop and manage customized IT solutions that ensure the stability and performance of our systems. With your in-depth expertise in system and network administration, you will play a key role in optimizing and future-proofing our infrastructure – all within a dynamic and agile work environment.

What You Will Do:
- Develop, administer, and proactively monitor the IT infrastructure landscape (VMware vSphere, Proxmox, Grafana/Prometheus).
- Maintain and manage the virtual and network infrastructure.
- Administer standard services (Rancher, Kubernetes, etc.).
- Create and maintain documentation, including root cause analysis of incidents.
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve errors and disruptions in the IT infrastructure (Incident and Problem Management).
- Collaborate closely with Development and Quality Assurance teams.
- Coordinate with suppliers and service partners.
Your Profile:
- At least 3 years of professional experience in a similar role in IT operations with outsourced data centers.
- Excellent expertise in system administration (Linux, Rancher, Kubernetes, VMware vSphere, Proxmox).
- Strong knowledge of networking and security (Firewall, F5).
- Experience with scripting and automation.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, Intune, Jira, Confluence, Asana, and iTop is a plus.
- A structured and solution-oriented approach to troubleshooting.
- Flexibility, self-reliance, and strong analytical thinking.
- Fluent in both German and English.

- Competitive Compensation: Of course, you will receive a competitive compensation package, which we would be happy to discuss with you personally. For legal reasons, we must provide the gross annual salary, which is based on the collective agreement and is approximately EUR 44.500, - (based on full-time 38.5 hours per week). We are willing to offer more than this starting salary, depending on your experience and qualifications.
