Marine Operations Director (f/m/d)

You will be responsible for overseeing the full scope of marine operations — from strategic planning and resource coordination to execution and continuous improvement. We are looking for a performance-oriented leader with a strong track record in operational excellence, a high level of accountability, and a clear commitment to driving efficiency and reliability across all maritime activities.

Our primary focus is on superyachts, so deep expertise in the field of large luxury vessels is essential. Ideally, you bring hands-on experience in managing complex operations within the superyacht industry and understand the unique demands and standards of this high-end sector.

Responsibilities

• Manage marine-related operational projects from planning to delivery across international markets
• Oversee project lifecycles, ensuring on-time, on-budget execution and smooth client handover
• Coordinate between clients, suppliers, and internal teams (engineering, logistics, sales)
• Translate customer needs into actionable plans, supporting the sales process
• Ensure compliance with marine standards and drive continuous process improvements
• Monitor project performance, budgets, risks, and report to senior management

Position Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Marine Engineering, Project Management, or similar field
• 7-10 years of experience in marine or technical project management
• Strong understanding of marine systems or high-end maritime products
• Proven track record in international, cross-functional project delivery
• Hands-on, proactive, and structured working style
• Excellent communication skills; fluent in English
• Proficient in project management tools and MS Office
• Willingness to travel internationally

For this position we offer a gross salary of € 90.000,- per year (on a full-time basis and commissions) with appropriate experience. Depending on qualifications and previous experience, overpayment is foreseen.
