Position Details

This position has a grade of 13 and reports to the Global Sourcing Category Manager.

Your Role and Responsibilities

1. Ensure cost optimization for projects within assigned product groups/categories, considering total costs of ownership.
2. Proactively observe and analyze markets for optimal cost country sourcing.
3. Interface with R&D and suppliers to optimize specifications and implement cost reduction strategies, including second sourcing.
4. Lead complex price negotiations and tenders for defined product groups and categories, utilizing bundling, benchmarking, and e-auctions.
5. Identify and implement cost-driven process improvements along the global supply chain.
6. Analyze, control, and report on cost-saving initiatives.
7. Facilitate cost workshops with internal and external stakeholders and implement findings.
8. Collaborate strategically with global ABB/B&R category teams.

Qualifications

• Business or technical degree completed successfully.
• Several years of relevant professional experience in an international procurement environment.
• Strong market knowledge, especially in industrial manufacturing.
• Deep understanding of levers and opportunities to achieve best-in-class costs.
• Proficiency in MS Office; experience with SAP MM module is an advantage.
• Excellent command of German and English.
• Diplomatic, assertive, with strong negotiation skills.
• High self-responsibility and results-oriented mindset.
• Hands-on mentality.
