As an Engineer in the petrochemical sector, you play a leading role in the design, development, and improvement of a plant. You will work closely on large projects with a team of experts to provide efficient and sustainable solutions that meet the highest standards.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure plant engineering and performance meet contractual requirements such as schedule, technical completeness, standards, interfaces, operation, maintenance, and safety.
  • Coordinate technical interfaces among engineering disciplines, plant areas, and other involved parties, including schedule, standards, and safety planning.
  • Support technical clarifications with customers and stakeholders, including consultants, partners, approval agencies, suppliers, and manufacturers.
  • Conduct regular engineering team meetings in coordination with project management.
  • Support procurement, manufacturing, installation, and commissioning planning and execution activities.
  • Review design requirements (R´1) execution.
  • Monitor engineering compliance with safety requirements and contribute to risk assessments such as HAZOP.
  • Manage structured engineering change processes, including documentation, scheduling, cost impact, and lessons learned.
  • Coordinate the preparation of project engineering standard documents.
  • Support the technical sales department during the pre-project phase by finding solutions.

Requirements

  • HTL, FH, or technical university degree.
  • Experience in mechanical or plant engineering, especially with mechanical equipment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD 2D, and 3D design programs like Inventor.
  • Several years of professional experience in the steel mill or plant engineering sector.
  • Willingness to work abroad and strong team orientation respecting cultural differences.
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
  • The minimum gross annual salary for this position is €46,600, with the possibility of a higher salary depending on qualifications and experience.
