Overview

The QA Manager will lead a team of quality assurance professionals to design, implement, and oversee testing processes for software applications with a strong emphasis on cybersecurity. This role requires a strategic thinker who can ensure product quality while mitigating security risks, collaborating closely with development, DevOps, and security teams. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of QA methodologies, software development lifecycles (SDLC), and cybersecurity best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and grow a team of QA engineers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
• Testing Strategy: Develop and execute comprehensive QA strategies, including functional, regression, performance, and security testing for software applications.
• Process Improvement: Define and refine QA processes, tools, and frameworks to enhance efficiency and ensure alignment with industry standards.
• Test Planning: Create detailed test plans, test cases, and scripts, ensuring coverage of both functional requirements and security protocols.
• Collaboration: Partner with software developers, product managers, and security analysts to integrate quality and security into every stage of the SDLC.
• Defect Management: Track, prioritize, and report defects, ensuring timely resolution and maintaining a high standard of product quality.
• Automation: Drive the adoption of test automation tools and frameworks to improve testing efficiency, with an eye toward security-specific automation.
• Reporting: Provide regular updates to senior leadership on QA progress, risks, and security findings, using data-driven insights.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with at least 2 years in a managerial or lead role.
• 3+ years of experience with cybersecurity testing or working in a security-focused software environment.
• Proficiency in QA tools (e.g., Selenium, JIRA, TestRail, Postman) and automation frameworks.
• Familiarity with programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C#) and scripting for test automation.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
• Soft Skills: Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams.
