Partner Service in Colombia seeks an SDET/Test Automation Engineer to drive automated testing as we modernize enterprise apps from .NET 6 to .NET 10. You will collaborate with developers, QA, and the Tech Lead to build scalable test automation frameworks and ensure reliable releases throughout the project lifecycle.

You will design and maintain test suites, integrate testing into CI/CD, perform manual testing where needed, and document results and release readiness.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, IS, or related field.
• 6+ years of SDET, test automation, or QA roles.
• Experience designing automated testing frameworks.
• Experience with Playwright or similar tools.
• Experience testing web apps built with .NET, React, and TypeScript.
• Familiar with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments.
• Experience with Git, Jira, and Agile teams.
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies and defect management.

Job Description

The SDET / Test Automation Engineer will be responsible for manual testing as well establishing and executing the automated testing strategy supporting the modernization of enterprise applications from .NET 6 to .NET 10. This role will work closely with developers, QA engineers, and the Tech Lead to build scalable test automation frameworks, improve software quality, and ensure reliable releases throughout the project lifecycle. The SDET will play a key role in validating application functionality, reducing regression risk, and supporting continuous delivery initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and test suites.
• Create automated functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end tests for modernized applications.
• Collaborate with developers and QA engineers to define test strategies and acceptance criteria.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and release processes.
• Participate in manual testing and manual testing best practices to achieve full coverage of modernized applications.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and document software defects and quality issues.
• Validate application upgrades, dependency updates, and compatibility changes introduced during modernization.
• Execute test automation against web applications, APIs, and supporting services.
• Analyze test results, provide quality metrics, and communicate risks to project stakeholders.
• Promote test automation best practices and continuous quality improvement across both development squads.
• Create and maintain comprehensive test documentation, including (automated) test plans, test cases, test results, defect tracking, and release readiness.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience in Software Development Engineering in Test (SDET), Test Automation, or Quality Assurance engineering roles.
• Strong experience designing and implementing automated testing frameworks.
• Experience with Playwright or similar modern test automation tools.
• Experience testing web applications built with .NET, React, and TypeScript technologies.
• Experience validating REST APIs, integrations, and backend services.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
• Experience working with Git-based repositories, Jira, and Agile development teams.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, defect management, and quality assurance best practices.
• Ability to analyze technical requirements and translate them into scalable automated test coverage.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills within cross-functional engineering teams.
