Job summary

Global Technology Services seeks a Senior Technical Development Lead to guide engineering execution in a large AWS modernization program. You will translate designs into actionable plans, review code, and coordinate across frontend, backend, cloud, and QA teams.

You will drive technical decisions, manage dependencies, and communicate tradeoffs while supporting engineers in delivery and code quality across microservices, REST APIs, Kafka, Node.js, TypeScript, Python, and React.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience leading software development work and mentoring engineers.
• Strong backend engineering skills with Node.js and TypeScript.
• Experience delivering AWS applications using microservices and API integrations.
• Understanding of event-driven architectures and data design (relational or NoSQL).
• Ability to review code, guide testing practices, and troubleshoot issues across services.
• Professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken.

We’re looking for a Technical Development Lead to guide engineering execution within a large scale AWS modernization program. This role combines hands on technical leadership, solution implementation, code quality, and coordination across development, QA, and cloud teams.

What you will be doing:

You will translate solution designs and requirements into implementation plans, guide technical decisions, and help engineers resolve complex delivery issues. You will review code and service interfaces, establish development practices, and contribute to implementation where needed.

You will coordinate dependencies across frontend, backend, cloud, and QA teams while tracking technical risks and communicating tradeoffs. The program includes AWS, microservices, REST APIs, Kafka or Amazon MSK, Node.js, TypeScript, Python, React.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.


• Experience leading software development work and mentoring engineers.


• Strong backend engineering skills with Node.js, TypeScript
