IBM Consulting is seeking a Technical Consultant focused on Threat Detection Response & Intelligence in Bogotá. You will identify, analyze, and mitigate cyber threats across client environments, using SIEM/XDR tools and threat intelligence to drive rapid incident response.

Responsibilities include triage, RCA, IOC analysis, and collaboration with teams to enhance detections aligned with MITRE ATT&CK. Hybrid work arrangement with growth opportunities and global impact.

• Execute incident triage, classification, and prioritization by risk.
• Conduct root cause analysis to identify incident origins.
• Analyze IOCs and threat vectors to support detection and investigations.
• Apply threat intelligence feeds to improve client-specific detections.
• Tune and optimize SIEM/XDR platforms in collaboration with the team.
• Communicate findings and escalate incidents per defined procedures.

As a Technical Consultant: Threat Detection Response & Intelligence, you play a vital role in safeguarding an organization's digital infrastructure by identifying, analyzing, and mitigating cyber threats. This position involves using a variety of cybersecurity tools to monitor, prioritize, investigate, and respond to security incidents. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Performadvanced analysis of security events and logsacross multiple data sources.

• Correlate events, conductdeep log reviews, analyze alerts, and validatetrue positives vs. false positives.

• Executeincident triage, classification, and prioritization based on risk and impact.

• Conductadvanced root cause analysis (RCA)to identify how incidents originated and evolved.

• AnalyzeIOCs and threat vectors, supporting detection and investigation activities.

• Applythreat intelligence feedsto enhance analysis for specific clients and industries.

• Identify and interpretsignals of exploitation, vulnerabilities, and security gaps.

• Collaborate with team members totune and optimize SIEM/XDR platforms.

• Manage technical communication and incident escalation in accordance with defined procedures.

Proven ability to performalert correlation, deep investigation, and incident validation.

Hands-on experience withincident triage, classification, and prioritization.

Strong analytical skills to performroot cause analysis.

Experience analyzingmalicious behaviors, IOCs, and attack vectors.

Practical knowledge ofthreat intelligence consumptionand application to detection.

Solid understanding ofMITRE ATT&CK framework.

Ability to recognizeexploitation techniques, vulnerabilities, and security control gaps.

Strongtechnical communication skillsand experience handlingincident escalation.

Team-oriented mindset with experience collaborating onSIEM/XDR tuning and optimization.

• Intermediate English level (technical communication)

Preferred technical and professional experience

Knowledge ofWindows and Linux operating systems.

Experience withthreat intelligence and threat huntingactivities.

Knowledge of designing and improving security use cases and correlation logic.
