JDV Partners is seeking a Tech Lead in Medellín to audit and guide a multi-disciplinary AI-enabled trading architecture. You will define the technical roadmap, lead a small team, and ensure secure, low-latency delivery of generative AI services. Strong English and Spanish are required.

The role offers collaboration across AI Engineering, Quant, MLOps, and Data teams with a focus on production stability. Preferred candidates have 5–10+ years in software leadership, deep Python and cloud

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in CS or related field.
• 5–10+ years in software engineering, architecture, or technical leadership.
• Experience designing, deploying, evolving resilient, low-latency systems.
• 1–2 years of practical Generative AI with LLMs, APIs, AI services.
• Strong Python, Azure, and Databricks experience.
• Familiar with broker APIs; Interactive Brokers valued.
• Advanced English and Spanish required.

Key Responsibilities

• Audit and validate the current architecture to determine which components should be retained, corrected, or replaced.
• Define and execute the technical roadmap in alignment with business and trading objectives, prioritizing stable production releases.
• Design and govern scalable, secure, and resilient architectures for generative AI applications and agentic systems.
• Improve latency, availability, and stability by incorporating fault-recovery mechanisms, observability, and critical incident management.
• Provide technical leadership to at least two developers, guiding implementation, reviewing code, and contributing directly to development.
• Strengthen the software development lifecycle, including engineering standards, testing, CI/CD, deployments, monitoring, and traceability.
• Lead integrations with brokers and external data sources through APIs and real-time services, including the current integration with Interactive Brokers.
• Evaluate technologies and manage technical debt by presenting clear, well-founded, and actionable recommendations.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with AI Engineering, the financial markets lead, Quantitative Analysis, MLOps, and Data Engineering. Advanced level of English and Spanish is required.

Core Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 5 to 10+ years of professional experience in software engineering, architecture, or technical leadership of complex systems.
• Architecture and production: experience designing, deploying, and evolving resilient, secure, scalable, and low-latency systems.
• Generative artificial intelligence: at least 1 to 2 years of practical experience with LLMs, agentic systems, APIs, and AI services.
• Core technology stack: strong Python skills and solid experience with Microsoft Azure and Databricks.
• Experience with Delta Tables, MLflow, OpenAI, Anthropic, or other generative AI services and frameworks.
• Knowledge of financial systems, fintech, payments, transactional platforms, trading, or real-time data.
• Experience with broker or market platform APIs; familiarity with Interactive Brokers is particularly valued.
• Advanced level of English and Spanish is required.
