Summary

The Lead GTM Systems Business Analyst is responsible for owning business intake, requirement quality, and early solution shaping across the GTM technology landscape. This role sits at the intersection of Business, Ops, and GTM Engineering, ensuring that messy, ambiguous requests are translated into clear, prioritised, and technically sound requirements that the engineering team can deliver against efficiently.

In addition to individual contribution, this role leads and coaches a team of GTM Systems Analysts, raising the bar on requirement quality, stakeholder partnership, and domain expertise across Sales, CS, Marketing, and RevOps systems.

Responsibilities
  • Business Intake & Partnership (Primary Focus)
  • Own the front door for GTM Tech business intake across Sales Ops, CS Ops, Marketing Ops, RevOps, and adjacent teams.
  • Engage early with stakeholders to understand the problem, not just the requested solution.
  • Act as a subject matter expert (SME) across assigned GTM domains, proactively advising on best practices, trade-offs, and system capabilities.
  • Challenge unclear, mis-scoped, or solution-led requests and reframe them into clear WHAT / WHY / OUTCOME definitions.
  • Ensure all work entering delivery meets a high standard of clarity, intent, and prioritisation.
  • Requirements & Solution Shaping
  • Translate business needs into clean, structured technical requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Partner closely with GTM Architects and Developers to shape scalable, maintainable solutions before work enters sprint.
  • Ensure dependencies, risks, and downstream impacts (data, permissions, integrations) are identified early.
  • Maintain consistency in how requirements are documented, reviewed, and approved across the team.
Team Leadership & Coaching
  • Lead and manage a team of GTM Systems Analysts, setting clear expectations for quality, ownership, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Coach analysts on:
    • Effective discovery and requirement gathering
    • Translating ambiguity into clarity
    • Operating confidently with senior business stakeholders
    • Understanding GTM systems end-to-end, not just tickets
  • Establish and enforce intake standards, templates, and ways of working.
  • Support individual development plans, skill growth, and progression within the team.
Delivery Enablement (Not Delivery Ownership)
  • Act as the bridge between Business and GTM Engineering to ensure delivery teams are set up for success.
  • Ensure work entering sprint is well-defined, prioritised, and aligned to broader GTM strategy.
  • Partner with GTM Engineering Delivery Manager to continuously improve flow, throughput, and predictability.
  • Support UAT readiness by ensuring business owners are clear on intent, scope, and acceptance criteria.
Data, Governance & Documentation
  • Promote strong data discipline by ensuring requirements consider data quality, reporting, and downstream consumers.
  • Support governance efforts by documenting business logic, process decisions, and system behaviours.
  • Ensure documentation is clear, accessible, and reusable for both technical teams and business users.
Qualifications
  • 6+ years of Salesforce development experience with advanced certifications.
  • Proficient in Salesforce Sales Cloud and tools like Gong, Outreach, and ChiliPiper.
  • Experience with GTM technologies like Hubspot, Gainsight, and DeaHub.
  • Skilled with enterprise integration tools (e.g., Syncari, Workato, Mulesoft, Fivetran).
  • Experience developing in Apex, LWC, Visualforce, and Java.
  • Competent in languages like XML, JavaScript, .NET, SQL, and C++.
  • Strong knowledge of REST/SOAP APIs and building integrations with Salesforce.
  • Proactive in enhancing Salesforce and ensuring code best practices.
  • Salesforce certifications required (e.g., Platform App Builder).
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to translate technical requirements for stakeholders.
