Amadeus Hospitality in Bogotá seeks a Team Lead Engineering to guide a mixed team of software developers, QAs, SREs and PDAs. You will own end-to-end delivery, manage infrastructure, and ensure performance, reliability, and security.

You will lead agile SAFe practices, align roadmaps with stakeholders, and drive continuous improvement in architecture and delivery. Requires 7+ years in software development, 2+ years managing people, and strong English communication.

• Bachelor's or Master in Computer Science or related field
• 7+ years of software development experience
• 2+ years in people management
• Strong planning and leadership skills
• Strong English communication for customer-facing role
• Experience with SAFe, Scrum or Kanban is required

Responsabilidades

• Lead and coordinate development activities for new and existing website applications in a SAFe environment.
• Own end-to-end delivery for applications in scope with on-time, within-specification results.
• Collaborate with customer stakeholders to translate roadmaps into delivery plans.
• Define the team roadmap and participate in design reviews and agile ceremonies.
• Manage production support and coordinate remediation when needed.
• Report on team delivery status, risks, and improvement opportunities.

Job Title Team Lead Engineering

About The Business Area/Department : In Services Development for Americas, we enhance airlines operations in the region by Implementing and maintaining fully customizable, secure, and innovative Digital Solutions, driving performance and fostering continuous improvement.

Summary of the role

Lead a team mixed team composed of several engineering profiles (Software developers, QAs, PDAs, SREs…). Design, Manage and optimize infrastructure while ensuring performance, reliability and security.

In this role you’ll

• Lead and coordinate development activities for new and existing website applications within a fully agile SAFe environment.
• Own end-to-end delivery for the applications in scope, ensuring commitments are met on time, within specification, and in line with engineering best practices.
• Collaborate with customer stakeholders to understand long-term roadmaps, business priorities, and operational challenges, and translate them into actionable delivery and resourcing plans.
• Build and maintain transparent, trusted communication channels with customers, in-ternal stakeholders, and management.
• Define and share the team roadmap and vision in alignment with department, division, and company objectives.
• Participate actively in technical discussions, design reviews, and agile ceremonies to guide the team toward scalable, stable, testable, and high-performing software solutions.
• Drive prioritization, issue resolution, and solution design for customer needs, delivery risks, and production concerns.
• Ensure adherence to processes, quality standards, agile practices, and escalation procedures.
• Manage production support issues and customer inquiries in a timely manner, escalating and coordinating remediation when required.
• Collaborate with development, architecture, QA, and solution teams to strengthen software quality, performance, and maintainability.
• Report on team activities, delivery status, risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Contribute to process, flow, and operating model improvements to increase efficiency and delivery effectiveness.

About the ideal candidate

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 7+ years of experience in software development or software engineering.
• 2+ years of experience in team or people management.
• Strong planning, communication, organizational, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
• Ability to define priorities, manage deadlines, support estimation and budgeting activities, and navigate operational challenges with a high degree of autonomy.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills; this is a customer-facing role.
• Ability to think strategically and abstractly, challenge the status quo, and drive continuous improvement in architecture, processes, and delivery practices.
• Strong experience with web technologies such as Angular, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, TypeScript, RxJS, NgRx, and Bootstrap.
• Good understanding of SOAP, REST, and GraphQL services and standards.
• Experience with test-driven development and continuous integration environments.
• Hands-on knowledge of tools such as Jenkins, SonarQube, Bitbucket, and Git/Stash.
• Experience working with Agile methodologies such as SAFe, Scrum, and Kanban.
• Knowledge of Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), cloud-based systems, and eCommerce products is a plus.
• Experience in the travel domain is a strong advantage.
