Job summary

About the role :

Mission of the position :

As a tax analyst, the objective of this position is to support the company's tax compliance obligations by managing and analyzing general tax operations. The position requires strong technical knowledge of tax matters, analytical skills to identify potential risks, and proven experience in meeting filing deadlines and compliance obligations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate autonomy, responsibility, and effective time management to deliver accurate results in a dynamic environment.

This role requires a detail-oriented professional with a solid understanding of tax legislation, including direct, indirect and excise taxes, reporting requirements, and local compliance processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Main responsibilities :

• Prepare Magnetic Media in Colombia.
• Prepare working papers for provisional Income Tax payments and ensure timely submission.
• Prepare Annual Income Tax (ISR) working papers and support in the preparation of final annual returns.
• Compile and review Transfer Pricing information in coordination with local and global teams.
• Provide support during tax audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities.
• Oversee and review deliverables prepared by external service providers, ensuring quality and completeness of annual tax packages.
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes, including tax provisions and reconciliations.
• Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, and Global Tax teams to ensure alignment and consistency of information.
• Contribute to process automation and continuous improvement initiatives within the Tax function.
• Preparation, review, and issuance of withholding certificates.
• Preparation and reconciliation of PYA and OTP at the corporate level.
• Review of compliance with internal controls.
• Prepare tax account reconciliations and follow up on any discrepancies as appropriate.

Qualifications / experience

• Certified public accountant, postgraduate studies in taxes (desired), Tax policies updates
• Minimum 3 years
• English level of B1.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar, Power BI, power query).
• Strong technical knowledge of direct taxes (Income Tax, Magnetic Media)
