Job summary

WSP is seeking an Intermediary Structural Engineer to contribute to renewable energy projects across wind, solar and storage systems. The role focuses on leading structural design, preparing calculations and specifications, and ensuring QA/QC compliance in a collaborative, international engineering environment.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in consulting structural design, familiarity with wind turbine foundations, and a Professional Engineer license in Canada.

Qualifications

3–5 years of experience in consulting engineering and structural design.
Experience in designing wind turbine foundations or substation structures (asset).
Registered engineer in a Canadian province is desirable.
English proficiency (B2–C1) is mandatory.

Responsibilities

Lead structural engineering aspects of renewable energy projects (wind, solar, energy storage, substations).
Prepare calculations, reports, plans, and specifications for design and evaluation.
Provide on-site support as needed (approx. 10%).
Ensure design compliance with standards and QA/QC procedures.
Utilize finite element modeling for accurate designs.
