The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is seeking an Emergency Adviser for Colombia to lead and coordinate strategic emergency projects from the coordination office, ensuring technical quality and donor compliance. The role also develops high-quality SOPs and supports field operations.

Travel and a fixed national contract are expected as part of the assignment. The position requires a university degree in a related field, at least five years of emergency coordination experience, and fluent English.

Formación

• University degree in social sciences, engineering, or related field, with humanitarian focus.
• Minimum 5 years coordinating emergency operations in humanitarian contexts.
• Minimum 5 years in project formulation, implementation, monitoring and evaluation.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee day-to-day management of strategic emergency projects from the CO, including planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, budget, and procurement.
• Ensure technical quality and donor compliance across geographic areas.
• Support development of proposals for continuation of projects.
• Provide technical support to area managers and emergency focal points.
