Dell EMC is seeking a Backup Storage Engineer to be based in Bogota, Colombia, onsite. The role requires strong hands-on expertise with PowerProtect Data Domain, DDVE, and related technologies to ensure secure, reliable backup storage and disaster recovery readiness.

The candidate should be proficient in Linux, VMware, and networking basics, and capable of coordinating with Dell Support and vendors. English communication at B1–B2 is preferred.

Formación

• Must have hands-on experience with Dell EMC PowerProtect Data Domain and DDVE.
• Familiarity with Data Domain OS, MTrees, and capacity monitoring.
• Experience with DD Boost, NFS and CIFS.
• Knowledge of MTree replication and retention policies.

Responsabilidades

• Install, configure, monitor and maintain Data Domain & DDVE environments.
• Manage backup storage, replication and DR readiness.
• Monitor capacity, performance, deduplication and compression.
• Troubleshoot Data Domain, replication and connectivity issues.
• Support cyber resilience, ransomware recovery and compliance activities.
• Coordinate with Dell Support and backup application vendors.
• Maintain runbooks and operational documentation.
