Robots & Pencils seeks a Staff Data Engineer to lead a multi-disciplinary team in designing enterprise-grade data platforms. You will define data strategy, own platform decisions end-to-end, and mentor junior engineers while partnering with leadership on data initiatives.

You will design scalable data lakes and warehouses, drive governance, and modernize data platforms across production workloads where performance, security, and reliability matter. AI-forward mindset required.

Formación

• 7+ years of professional data engineering experience.
• Strong system architecture background with distributed data systems.
• Expert proficiency in Python, Scala, and SQL.
• Deep expertise with cloud-native data platforms and enterprise data warehousing.
• Strong experience with streaming platforms and real-time data processing.
• Strong data modeling expertise and data transformation experience.
• Strong experience with data quality, governance, and compliance frameworks.
• Strong experience with container orchestration and CI/CD for data systems.
• Experience building data pipelines for production AI/ML systems including embeddings and feature stores.
• Demonstrated leadership and technical mentoring across teams.
