A leading logistics company is looking for an SSA LCL Manager responsible for overseeing the end-to-end process of LCL import and export shipments. The role requires strategic development, team management, and maintaining customer relationships to ensure quality service and profitability in the growing market. Candidates should hold a relevant degree and possess significant experience in shipping and logistics.

Formación

  • At least 3 to 5 years of experience in handling LCL maritime import and export processes.
  • Knowledge of P&L and Forecast.

  • Develop the LCL strategy with suppliers and customers for volume growth.
  • Supervise the performance and compliance with the team’s indicators.
  • Ensure on-time billing and profitability of shipments.

Job Description: SSA LCL Manager

Job Location:Any SSA Country

Role Description:

Ensure the execution of the end-to-end process of LCL import and export shipments as well as the product strategy, acting as an escalation point for the internal client and external to ensure a quality service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop the LCL strategy (product and operation) with suppliers and customers for volume growth, ensuring profitability and maximizing the use of own consolidated.
  • Direct and supervise the performance and compliance with the team’s indicators.
  • Develop successful relationships with customers ensuring that their requirements are answered in a timely manner.
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement actions reviewing indicators and quality of service.
  • Participate in monthly KPI reviews with external clients.
  • Create, build and maintain excellent relationships with suppliers and customers.
  • Ensure proper implementation of new businesses.
  • Guarantee the closure of files in time and form with quality avoiding losses.
  • Ensure the income of Job Profitability note in the Sick Files.
  • Supervise that the entry of WIPS and Accruals is complete and correct.
  • Supervise team responsibilities, ensuring the correct balance in workloads.
  • Actively participate in the development and training of specialists and identify training needs.
  • Ensure on-time billing, profitability of shipments and EBIT of the product agreed to Forecast and Budget.
  • Ensuring productivity by FTE
  • Participate in the definition of the Budget

Key Qualifications:

  • Degree in International Business, International Trade, Transport Engineering, Industrial or related.
  • At least 3 to 5 years of experience in handling LCL maritime import and export processes.
  • Knowledge and management of shipping companies, terminals and coleaders.
  • Knowledge of the forwarding business.
  • Knowledge of P&L and Forecast.
  • Management of a work team.
  • Advanced English.
  • Knowledge of the process for the consolidation of a Sea Freight.
  • Mastery of import processes and maritime export.
  • P&L Domain.
