Summary

The DELIVER organization at Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine is committed to delivering outstanding customer experience by leading critical functions such as warehouse, distribution, transportation, and customer service, across a diverse and expansive network.

The Latin America Warehouse & Transportation Leader oversees eleven distribution centers across nine countries, covering the entire scope for warehousing and outbound transportation, composed of two J&J owned facilities, many 3PL sites, and contracted carriers with capabilities to distribute a diverse portfolio in ambient temperature, cold chain, and controlled substances.

This regional operation leader serves as the strategic link between the DELIVER organization and the commercial teams, manages a $30MM SG&A, and supports more than $2B in sales with strong yearly double-digit growth.

Strengthen customer trust by providing best-in-class distribution services that enhance customer experience while ensuring a safe and compliant supply chain.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Innovative Medicine Warehouse and Outbound Transportation operations, driving efficiencies and advancing opportunities to bring organizational maturity to the next level.
  • Run distribution center operations in São José dos Campos & Puebla and 3PL model operations in Mexico, Colombia, Peru, Ecuador, Panama, Chile, Uruguay, and Argentina.
  • Manage all-in-country transportation operations with a major focus on the outbound last mile.
  • Advance innovation and transformation agenda related to automation and digitalization.
  • Ensure contracted agreements on service level and cost with 3PLs and carriers, collaborate on the supplier’s relationship management program, secure adherence to the enterprise risk management framework, but also to the Quality, EH&S, SOX, and all Compliance standards.
  • Partner with Procurement in the development and negotiation of new supplier contracts.
  • Responsible for the freight payment control process and day-to-day execution.
  • Partner with the JJOS team for addressing process improvement initiatives.
  • Partner with Deliver Integrator on execution and allocation of resources to ensure flawless new product launches, deployment of strategic programs, and building new capabilities.
  • Accountable for the change management related to the implementation of regional network strategy and changes in go-to-market model.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated impact in increasingly complex roles, including roles requiring orchestration and influence; E2E mindset and collaborative, influence-based leadership approach.
  • Demonstrate skills in strategic thinking and strategy implementation in a highly matrixed complex and global environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills, with a track record of influence and collaboration to reach a desired result.

  • Expertise across core order fulfillment processes and systems (ERP, OTC, WMS, TMS, WCS, DCs automation).

  • Strong communication skills with demonstrated ability to synthesize large quantities of information and create clear & concise messaging for leadership.

Other Requirements
  • Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in a relevant field (i.e.: Business, Economics, Supply Chain, Logistics, Pharmacy).
  • Minimum of 8 years of business experience in supply chain management.
  • Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement certifications are desirable.
  • Project Management skills, FPX or PMP certification is desirable.
  • Requires proficiency in English to communicate effectively and professionally.
  • Requires the ability, through our flexible work policy, to work on-site a minimum of three days each week, with the option of two remote workdays.
  • May require up to 30% of international travel.
